Brighton art-rock favourites Flip Top Head have revealed their first single of 2026, ‘Porcelain Plugs’. It’s a dramatic, gothic track that drifts from moments of tender, acoustic folk and into bursts of semi-operatic, psych-adjacent rock. The mesh of guitars and off-kilter drums combine during these punchier sections to create the unpredictable vibe that Flip Top Head have become known for. Vocalist Bowie Bartlett says: “With inspiration from the great Sylvia Plath’s words on baths, ‘Porcelain Plugs’ addresses guilt and vulnerability- and how a hot bath fixes everything.” ‘Porcelain Plugs’ is taken from Flip Top Head’s upcoming EP, Trilateral Machine, which drops on January 23rd, 2025, via Blitzcat Records.
