Leeds-based Group A.D. have revealed their cosmic new single, ‘Colour Space Transform’. The band have crafted a unique, slightly dubby, psychedelic sound. In one sense, the strings and nuanced arrangement create a dramatic, wide landscape. In another, there is a close-up, raw flair caused by the twang of guitars that is more spaghetti-western in feel. Nonetheless, both sides of their impossible-to-describe sound are equally suited to film. “There is no greater frontier than the one in the rear view mirror’ is the opening lyric to ‘Colour Space Transform’ and one that encapsulates its message,” says frontman Aidan. “There’s a great joy in paying homage to different eras of music, and this is a song of two worlds- the sixties and the eighties, two musical eras in both in style and production.” The band are dropping an EP of the same name on March 27th, 2026.
