Anaïs & The Hoops has revealed her newest single and video, ‘Growing Pains’. Her jazzy voice and hazy, retro approach are defining features of her sound, with this one in particular containing an especially memorable pop hook. The video that accompanies the track is characteristically nostalgic and filled with Anaïs’ own friends and bandmates, providing the perfect representation of the track’s emphasis on chosen family. She says of the track: “Friendships shape us just as deeply as romantic love, especially the ones we carry from childhood into adulthood. The song is a love letter to best friends and to growing up alongside the people who feel like home.” The single and video are lifted from her debut EP, also called Growing Pains, which dropped toward the end of last year.
