‘River Days’ is the new single from lo-fi folk singer-songwriter Natalie Wildgoose. It’s a blissful track that combines the slightly warped sound of acoustic guitar with a warm, organic piano. Her voice is soft and light, providing simple, conversational melodies that capture her lyrics perfectly. “This song is a record of a single day, written that same evening, capturing the events and feelings of an early-summer day when Matt and I spent every hour by the river,” she says. “We lit fires and made black coffee in the naturally worn rockpools of the stone, in the evening we cooked fresh trout and lay in the grass beds where the deer had slept the night before.” Natalie Wildgoose is releasing her EP, Rural Hours, on April 15th, via state51, and will be heading out on a UK tour that same month.
