The Haunted Youth have revealed their latest track, ‘wake up’. It’s one of their most stripped-back, raw efforts yet, with tender acoustic guitar and simple percussion supporting airy layers of hushed vocal. By the end of the track, we’ve reached a spacious, hazy, shoegaze world. Boys Cry Too is the new album from The Haunted Youth, dropping on May 8th, 2026, via Play It Again Sam. On the album, Joachim Liebens says: “The first half of the record is basically how everyone sees a boy when he’s heartbroken: he puts his walls up, he’s paranoid, he’s angry, he’s aggressive. But then the second half is this whole other story – it’s vulnerable. I want to show the vulnerable part of men and boys and celebrate it.” -Dan Peeke.
