On the track’s genesis during a visit to family in the remote jungles of the Philippines, itcallsme i says: “The environment immediately sparked inspiration, and once we found the right drum pattern, the track came together incredibly quickly. While [my producer] stepped out to grab lunch, I recorded the hook on my own, and that original take is still part of the final version today.” itcallsme i’s unique debut EP of the same name is also out now.
