‘I Know You’ is the latest track from Brighton-based singer-songwriter Maximilian. In contrast to his post-rock epic of last year, his new song and EP are stripped-back and raw. This cut is a joyous piece of folk rock, recorded completely live with acoustic instruments and without a click. There are notes of Elliot Smith in there, as well as Big Thief and dashes of warm chamber-pop. He adds: “Expressing and celebrating gratitude, in the face of whatever might change. Vocalising positivity, love and joy, because it’s a muscle worth building.” Maximilian is also gearing up to release his new EP, Diurnals, which drops on May 8th, 2026, via Crafting Room Records. -Dan Peeke.
