Marking a shift in her approach and a desire for transparency, 'Mind Disaster' is the newest taste of Miss Grit's forthcoming album Under My Umbrella. Following 'Tourist Mind' and 'Stranger', Margaret Sohn recalls 'Mind Disaster' being "the one that really helped create the palette for the rest of the album for me…It’s my favorite instrumental on the record and so many good friends helped make it happen.” Pulling off a softer take on techno, the track is pulsating and intense, whilst leaving room for reflection. Sohn haunts the mix with yearning vocals reminiscent of Caroline Polachek, which crystalline synths and energetic beats hark back to Charli xcx's 2020 album How I'm Feeling Now. Distinctively different in vibe and tone, Miss Grit is looking inward on this album and we're very much here for it.
