Edging closer to the release of their new EP Lucky Life, 'I Know You Well' is a heartfelt ode to intimacy from the brilliant Blood Wizard. Consciously denser than their previous works, songwriter Cai Burns explains: "We wanted to make something that sounded thicker and fuller, and bring in some of that hazy, shoegaze kind of atmosphere. I grew up on alternative guitar records, and this was me really leaning into that instinct, letting the guitars carry more weight and space than usual".  As ever, the lyricism is visually striking and earnest, as Burns swoons 'You're my safety pin, you keep me held together'. Punctuated by crystalline synths and blissed out backing vocals, Blood Wizard have succeeded in their mission to create something immersive, nostalgic and unmistakably their own. Consisting of 5 tracks, including previous List Pick 'Daydreaming', Lucky Life will be released on the 16th of April via Sad Club Records and it's sure to be a corker.
