Rising trio mary in the junkyard have revealed their latest track in the form of ‘Cadelabra’. The emotionally resonant track places multi-instrumentalist Clari Freeman-Taylor centre stage, performing a song she wrote aged just seventeen, over an acoustic guitar accompaniment that drifts between simplicity and strange, unexpected chord changes. “‘Candelabra’ was written many years ago,” she says. “It was one of my first sad songs…. it has got all of my teenage angst written into it”. The track serves as further evidence that mary in the junkyard can drift between powerful maximalism, and intimate beauty effortlessly. The trio are unleashing their debut album, Role Model Hermit on July 3rd, 2026, via AMF Records.
