Silver Gore
List Pick
April 2, 2026
Currently the hottest twosome in town, London-based Silver Gore reveal another alt-pop wonder in 'Black Cherry Liqueur'. Signed to Island and showing no signs of slowing down, 'Black Cherry Liqueur' is a fairly swift follow up to their debut EP Dogs In Heaven. Thematically delving into the unknown, vocalist Ava Gore explains: “It’s about risk-taking, letting go and understanding that things will not turn out how you planned…It’s about being drunk on the absurdity and unexpectedness of life. But accidentally poisoning aspects of your life in doing this. Always welcoming surprise and the joy of the unexpected. Being destructive and building in the ashes." Unsurprisingly the production is excellent (and difficult to pinpoint in terms of influence). Carried forward by comparatively harsh drum sounds, ominous synth bass writhes beneath Gore's sugary delivery which presumably gets chopped into glitches at the end. Confident in their abilities and their artistic vision, Silver Gore are building a world of their own and we're all just living in it.
