‘Entertainment’ is the new tune from fast-rising Leeds alternative quartet, The 113. It’s a heavy, relentless cut that feels like the band at their most direct and confrontational. The walls of crushing guitar are supported by locked-in bass and drums, and topped by cutting lyrics delivered with venom. On the track, which ties together many of the themes of their current EP, frontman Jack Grant says: “In particular it calls back the opener 'Leach'; it's a statement on social media and these platforms that get people addicted to content with no real purpose other than farming interactions. It explores the way they’re designed to keep you locked in, feeding you content with no real purpose beyond interaction, and ultimately, profit.” The band’s second EP, The Hedonist, is available now via EMI North Records label partner Launchpad+.
