Vienna-based band Topsy Turvy have revealed their new song, ‘Five Guitars’. Their sound sits somewhere between garage rock, surf rock and psychedelia, with a punk ethos and a certain flamboyance knitting the whole thing together. This track is tense from its opening moments, and driven forward by the titular guitars, which are underpinned by a swaggering bass line and intense drum machines. “Looking back, I think it’s really just a loop of recurring thoughts, feelings put into words,” they explain. “From waking up beneath an oversized guitar collection, to life-changing decisions, to moments of forgetting the lyrics on stage. The mud of everyday thoughts had to find its way out as a song.” Their upcoming album, Fighting The Ginormous Macho Nacho, is due for release on March 27th, 2026, via Siluh Records.
