Seattle-based Mandarin/English indie pop duo Chinese American Bear have dropped their new track, ‘Turn up The Radio (把收音机开大点)’. It’s a melodic cut that brings together a simple accompaniment defined by the shine of bright guitar chords and a punchy drum kit pattern. Anne Tong’s voice is lo-fi and bouncy, delivering staccato melodies that work their way effortlessly into the track’s playful textures. “I love this contrast of it sounding so childish, but then we do things in the production that throw it off from being real 'Kids Music.' 'Turn Up The Radio' is like a kids' song for adults, a line we often like to blur,” they explain. “It’s all sunshine and good vibes, a true bop, bubble-gum pop, with a hint of psychedelic sunshine magic.” The new album from Chinese American Bear, Dim Sum & Then Some, is out on May 8th, 2026, via Mosh Moshi.
