Indie rock rising star meg elsier has revealed her new song, ‘meaning of life’. It’s a hazy, delicate track that places the intimate jangling of a guitar riddled by distant distortion at the core of the track’s instrumental. Her voice is tonally interesting, with a feeling of simultaneous weightlessness and intensity being carried through the track, especially during the abstract bridge. She says the track is “about giving depression company. It’s being fucking tired, stuck in self-sabotage and procrastination, feeling nothing and living vicariously through other people instead.
