Stockholm quartet Les Big Byrd have revealed their new track, ‘Big Flood’. Across seven minutes, the band establish and settle into a strange, hazy psychedelic world. The tinkling of percussion adds further innocence to an accompaniment already crafted on bouncy keys, swirling guitars and a distant, lo-fi vocal delivery. “Believe it or not, 'Big Flood' is about Ragnarök,” they say. “Essentially, many of us Swedes believe the prophecies that Jörmungandr, a fairly large sea serpent, will be the one to trigger the end of the world, and submerge the earth under the ocean. These lyrical themes tied in perfectly with our more unconscious musical influences.” The band are dropping their new album, Ruin Everything, which is out on June 5th, 2026 via Chimp Limbs.
