‘Soft Song For A Worried Mind’ is the new track from Brighton-based singer-songwriter Maximilian. It’s a beautiful, warm cut that grows from the subtle acoustic chug of its opening moments, through a tender melody supported by tune percussion, and into a slow, weightless instrumental filled with piano chords and sweeping cello melodies that reprise his earlier vocal lines. It’s only three minutes long, but this track feels like a fully-formed folk epic. Of the track, he offers: “Vocalising compassion. The will to comfort. A love letter from afar. Cosying under the blanket of the present moment, fending off dark clouds of the future.” Maximilian’s debut EP, Diurnals, drops on May 8th, via Crafting Room Recordings. .
