‘Suffering (Mike’s Way)’ is the latest track from Teen Suicide. It immediately captures the brighter side of their unique style, which is full of huge hooks and powerful indie production, but with the twang of late 90s, pop-inflected punk, grunge-edged distortion, and a flurry of nostalgic synth melodies. Their lyrics even border on the optimistic with this cut. “Despite the name, I consider it one of our more optimistic songs,” explains guitarist and vocalist Sam Ray. “It’s a sort of love song. It’s a song about the world. About living life. About getting clean from opiates. How much better it is to feel everything than nothing. It’s really just a song about movement – forward momentum. All the times you think you can’t go on and then you just do, somehow, and suddenly you’re looking back at it all. And even then, you’re still moving.” On April 17th, 2026, the band will be revealing their new album, Nude descending staircase headless, their first proper studio recording and the start of a new chapter for this exciting band.
